At 62 years old, the digital world never ceases to amaze me. Looking back at my beginnings in decentralization—navigating wallets, exchanges, tokens, and financial mechanics—I often experience a trip back in time. I feel exactly as I did when I was 17, sitting in a classroom, looking at a calculus integral ($\int$) for the very first time.
That feeling of being faced with an indecipherable language—full of strange symbols where a single mistake ruined the entire procedure—was the exact same sensation I felt during my first steps in crypto. However, the real spark that triggered my fascination came from the most unexpected person.
My curiosity about this ecosystem was born during the peak of Plants vs. Undead, and the person responsible for introducing me to that world was my daughter, who was about 19 years old at the time. She was the one who showed me what the game was about and explained the step-by-step process of depositing and withdrawing money from it.
Today, it brings a big smile to my face when I remember her expression while explaining it all, along with her initial frustration when I simply couldn't get it on the first try. What she didn't realize back then was that, by being patient with me, she was accidentally opening the door to a world that would change my life forever.
When I analyzed how transactions and liquidity flowed within the game, I realized something incredible: it wasn't an entirely unknown universe. The world of decentralization is not a passing trend; it is here to stay. And the learning curve, no matter your age, always rewards the curious.

Recordando mis inicios en la descentralización, la navegación entre wallets, intercambios (exchanges), tokens y mecánicas financieras, a menudo tengo un viaje en el tiempo: me siento exactamente igual que cuando tenÃa 17 años, sentado en un aula, mirando por primera vez una integral en Cálculo I.
Aquella sensación de estar frente a un lenguaje indescifrable —lleno de sÃmbolos extraños donde un solo error arruinaba todo el procedimiento— fue la misma que experimenté en mis primeros pasos cripto. Sin embargo, el verdadero detonante de mi fascinación llegó de la mano de la persona menos pensada.
Mi curiosidad por este ecosistema nació durante el auge de Plants vs. Undead, y la responsable de introducirme a ese mundo fue mi hija, que en ese momento tenÃa unos 19 años. Ella fue quien me enseñó qué era el juego y me explicó el proceso paso a paso para meter y sacar dinero de él.

Entender que la economÃa Web3 no estaba reinventando la rueda, sino descentralizándola, cambió mi perspectiva por completo:

Ha pasado mucho desde aquellas explicaciones de mi hija; ese estudio constante me llevó a dominar la materia a tal nivel que hoy ayudo a personas que necesitan o están interesadas en este mundo.
Pasar de la perplejidad de una integral (y de las explicaciones de mi hija de 19 años) a guiar a otros en las finanzas descentralizadas me ha dejado una gran lección: nunca se deja de aprender, sobre todo cuando lo hacemos impulsados por la pasión. El mundo de la descentralización no es una moda pasajera; llegó para quedarse. Y la curva de aprendizaje, sin importar la edad, siempre premia a los curiosos.
