Most crypto enthusiasts will say "not your keys not your crypto" in regards to cefi. However, there are times where allowing someone else to custody your coins actually may be the safer option as opposed to you doing, especially if they have iron clad insurance. That being said I think they both (cefi and defi) can coexist and have pros and cons to each.
