Sometimes news which is just perceived to be negative or bearish basically brings the short sell trade in to full effect. Traders jump at news events because they know if they can strike the trade early it be profitable. Sometimes its not always about how influential someone is, just how big the news is. Sadly people listen to Elon Musk far too much and yeah because hes rich he has influence.
