The trip I took to Antartica, in March 2019. Me, Daniel Leite and Carlos Sotto boarded the Brazilian Air Force plane to the Chilean base. The weather was not good and we were warned that maybe the plane could send due to bad weather. However, we landed well and went to board the Brazilian logistical support vessel, the H44. We went to work a week on board the ship documenting for the film "Vidas Embarcadas", by Beth Ritto. Beth, unfortunately, cannot go, however the director of photography Daniel Leite passed the direction.
We had a week to record, but the officer took us to the high command room for a meeting as soon as we arrived.
The commander announced that in two days the ship would return to Brazil, because a great storm would come. According to him announcing the period of bad weather and high seas.

the biggest thrill was the first day we were crossing the drake straits. Look at the horizon and just see the sea. the waves reached 6 meters, far from being one of the biggest days, because there the sea reaches 20 meters of waves, in one of the most fearsome places in the nautical world. Naturally I got sick a few times that day. only relieved when I lay in the bunk bed operating the room shared with 5 people. 3 non-commissioned officers me, dani and carlos. Carlos in the first minute that the ship left the admiralty, already sick and went straight to the room. dani and we continued throughout the day filming the work with the boat moving from side to side. After 48 hours of crossing the drake, we finally arrived at the calm of the strait of magalhaes. A deep breath and we saw that the worst was over.
