How Did My VP Slip So Fast???
Oh!!!
About a week ago, I had recharged my VP to above 75% when I decided to make three key contributions: Steem Follower, @smartsteem, and
@shadowbot. Ever since then, my VP quickly drained to below 60% yesterday and I realized nearly a 20% drop again today. After this week I will be changing my play a little and here is why:
Steem Follower
I have decided that SteemFolloweris no longer my forte and I plan on no longer using it unless I have enough VP to share. I mainly used SF for followers and ever since they shut down that service, I found little incentive to continue using it.
Don't get me wrong, the vote for points for votes model seems excellent and great if you need a handful of low-valued votes but that is what I kept getting: low valued votes. In my opinion, using SF drains your VP in a manner that could better be used in other projects.
Selling my votes to @smartmarket has certainly been a wonderful procedure ever since
@therealolf implemented the multiple vote system allowing a user to purchase votes from more than one account accruing to 200% ROI before curation.
I will, however, caution using it freely because it will snag votes rather quickly. I will instead set my percentage to be above 70% before it can vote because the 98% payout from votes make it rather worth it.
@shadowbot is still rather iffy for me because I haven't received any upvotes in return for my votes nor have I gained any source of returns either. A good friend advised me to use it and soon they are implementing their own coin to distribute to voters so I will continue to use the service because I have grown to rank 16 and I hope that means I will earn plenty of tokens for my votes. If not, I will likely drop the service.
