The World's Best Postal Services
by
Martin Armstrong,
In a recent report, the Universal Postal Union looks at the postal services of 170 countries and ranks them based on four main components - reliability, reach, relevance and resilience. Top of the pile in 2016 was Switzerland. Consistently the best performer in three of the four categories, only China (ranked ninth overall) outdoes the European service in the area of reach - coming out in first place due to its extensive global connectedness.
Just outside of the top ten, the U.S. was ranked in thirteenth place with an index score of 74.17. This puts the States slightly ahead of Canada and comfortably above the 67.4 average for industrialized countries.
