My Side Hustle As A Student
A Side hustle is any small business or job, one does inorder to earn money or gain experience outside your main studies or area of concentration. Being a student is not an easy task. This is the main reason why as a student, having a side hustle is very beneficial because it helps you gain skills, earn extra income, and even prepare you for life after school.
As you all know, am a student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri. Apart from being a student, am also a fashion designer. I sew and make clothes for people. To be honest, I love everything about fashion. So, before I entered school, i learnt tailoring. I was bent on getting a handwork for myself before I get admission into school. This was because from the reviews of stories i have had about how stressful school is and lots more. So, I decided to learn a handwork so that even if my parents couldn't provide for me at the moment, I will be able to do so without their help.
Today, I can proudly stand and say that this handwork I learnt the previous years is really helping me alot in school. I have my own sewing machine in school. So i sew clothes for my course mates, neighbors, other students, from my referrals, etc. Most times, I don't bother to call my parents for money to sort things in school because I make my own cool money and sort things out by myself. Although it hasn't been easy tho, but I must say that my handwork has paid a way for me here I'm school..🤗
Currently, most students survive in school through their side hustle. As a student, you shouldn't mainly depend for your finances on your parents, because sometimes they won't have any to give you at that available moment. Some of the side hustles students involves their selves into includes;
• Freelancing, writing, graphics, design, etc.
• Tutoring. When you have the intellect to teach people, your course mates, or younger students in subjects you’re good at, then you will be able to make some cool money from there.
• Selling products and items that students loves buying like clothes, shoes, bags, snacks, thrifted items, etc, this will make you flee from financial struggle in school.
• Digital Services. Managing Instagram pages, creating flyers, or editing videos for people. Also, some partake in covering events and parties.
Thank you all for your time. Here comes the end of my post today? If you're a student here, I know you can relate to this post and hope you also learnt something from my post today.. Thank you once more..😇
