Everyone wants to be at the top, but how many people are ready to take all the risks that is required to be at the top? When I mean taking risk, I mean taking calculated risks. Someone will say what is calculated risk? Is risk not risk? There are risks and there are risks if you ask me. If you take a risk that will yield no positive result for you, then you just took a stupid risk.

A calculated risk is a risk that you take knowing fully well that there is something good to grab along the way.

This generation is filled with so many people who just wants to cross their legs and let manna fall from heaven. They are not ready to work at all and that's why they indulge in so many atrocities just because they are looking for quick money forgetting that life will definitely dish out exactly what they have prepared for themselves. In order words, what you sow is definitely what you will reap. I think the earlier people understand this point, the better for them too.

How do risk takers get that financial turning point?

-Once you have made up your mind to take calculative risks, you have reached your goal 50%. The first step is to make up your mind. Risk takers are people who harden their hearts and tell themselves that no matter what, they will make it.

I want to just point out that it is not every time that you take a risk that you make it. What matters is not how many times that you fail but how you rise up despite that failure and dust yourself. Moving ahead despite the disappointment shows that you are a risk taker.

• Risk takers grab every opportunity they see to invest. To be financially free, you need to invest. There are so many things to invest on such as landed properties, good business, shares and even #hive. In fact if you have money, buy some #HBD and put it in your savings. The interest rate is mind-blowing. Before you know it, you would have tripled the initial deposit.
