The mind is one important part of us that God has given to us. I will show a few things I've come to understand about the mind.
WHAT IS THE MIND?
The mind is that which thinks, imagines, remembers, wills, and senses or is the set of faculties responsible for such phenomena. The mind is also associated with experiencing perception, pleasure and pain, belief, desire, intention, and emotion.
Did You Know, your Mind consists of three parts? They include:
The Conscious Mind: This is the part we're aware of and think with. It is easily manipulated (i.e. you can change your mind when presented with a compelling argument), and it's the part of our mind we are most familiar with. When someone refers to "my mind" in a conversation, this is usually the part they're speaking about.
The Unconscious mind: This is the creator of dreams. Its job is to sort and organize the millions of pieces of data you've been exposed to. ..
The Subconscious Mind: it is the most complicated, and for our purposes, the most important. The subconscious mind is where mental programs are created and carried out. If you want to change the mental programs you're running, the subconscious mind is where you'll need to focus.
For many people, the mind and brain are interchangeable. However, the mind and brain are two very different, but interconnected, entities. The mind uses the brain, and the brain responds to the mind. The mind also changes the brain. People choose their actions—their brains do not force them to do anything. Yes, there would be no conscious experience without the brain, but experience cannot be reduced to the brain's actions.
The brain is the central organ of the human nervous system, while the mind is a faculty that manifests itself in mental phenomena such as perception, thinking, sensation, reasoning, memory, etc.
The brain is made up of blood vessels and nerve cells, while the mind is not made up of any cells and is hypothetical.
The brain has a definite shape and structure, while the mind does not have a definite shape and structure.
The brain coordinates, movements, feelings, and different functions of the body, while the mind refers to a person’s conscience, understanding, and thought process.
You can touch the brain, but you cannot touch the mind.
We will end here about the mind. Hope you learned something. Tomorrow we will be looking at why is our mind so important.
