Wake up sleepy head, let's play!
That's what my kids told the sleepy cat but he did not bother no matter what we do to him.
We didn't have a cat at home to avoid my kids from getting hurt but my kids love cats so much that they would pet every cat they would see at a friend's house.
One lovely day, I and my family went to a friend's house to chill and for the kids to play and they immediately noticed this sleeping cat on the sofa.
Sleeping on the sheet is a cat that doesn't bother on anything. My kids tired to wake him up and tickling him but all he responded was a stretch and then went back again to sleep and we all laughed at how he did.
Accepting our defeat, the kids chose to cuddle and my eldest daughter even lay down beside him on the sofa.
Turns out that the cat is awake the while night before as ge was busy scouting for lizards and rats in the vicinity.
And I realized that the cat is in a night shift work and that he needs to sleep the whole day that's why he is not bothering at what we were doing to him at all.
The cat's deep sleep made me jealous of him. It's been a while since I last did it. Since I had my first child, I had been a light sleeper, waking up to the slightest noise around the house. Perhaps it's normal, a part of motherhood which protects the child, and I am thankful that I had been this way even though it seems my sleep is always disturbed.
A few moments later, we all bid goobye with each other but the cat is still in his deep and sound sleep. It was a lovely thing to behold.
have you known cats that hunts at night and sleeps like a baby during day time?
