I and my beautiful family had an extraordinary experience last night. The kids didn't have school for two weeks so we allowed to let them stay late but since my husband and I knew thay had been watching TV and mobile phone during the day, we refrained them from using one.
The kids got bored and they decided to play outside, then went hide and seek and then quarreled. That's how kids are, right?
A little later, my eldest daughter went to find something to play with and found a screw driver and asked her papa if she can play with it and he said yes.
Fortunately, my husband had several screw drivers from his electrical job sideline and the kids had one each and they didn't have to fight who gets to use first.
The kids looked for something to dismantle, a broken lamp, a kitchen ware which Laling successfully removed and installed the handle again; my son had an electrical male plug, then my eldest daughter had a broken extension wire.
She opened the female plug and my husband told her to attach the wire and she refused at first saying she doesn't know how but my lovely husband guided her along the way.
She took a while to finish so he assisted her and taught her what to do and how to do it right.
She finally finished setting the extension wire up but my husband warned us not to plug it on an active current because there were faults and we might end up in fire. Laling had a little trouble attaching the wire back on the male plug but she didn't give up until she finished doing it.
On the other hand, my son got busy with his motorcycle toy.
It was such an amazing experience to slowly teach the kids some basic skills so that they will be able to use it when they grow up and fhat they could earn a living through their skills.
Nothing is wrong with teaching kids on how to do things and how they work so that when time comes, they will be ready and be able to stand on thier feet.
Because of our activity last night, my husband got encouraged to bring old machines at home for them to practice, it will be up to them then when they grow up if they would still be interested and continue what we teach them when they were young.
Anyways, I taught my daughters crochet last year but were halted since we all got too busy for thier school and my work.
I was a pleasure to teach the kids and develop their learning as well as problem-solving abilities.
