I got curious about people posting Dtube videos so I learned a bit about it and have just created my own channel, which I later plan to use for sharing art and music.
A general introduction, Dtube is very similar to Youtube but all of the earning system in Steemit applies to Dtube as well. Some people prefer using Dtube and other video platforms as alternative to Youtube due to lesser traffic. Also, earning money from ads on Youtube has been more difficult due to their strict ad policies.
I am personally excited to try Dtube. To me, it feels like a clean slate and can be my own channel for self expression.
Making a Dtube account is fairly easy, especially if you already have a Steemit account like me.
You first go to your steemit account and go to your 'Wallet'
Then choose 'Permissions'
Click 'Show Private Key' then copy the long line of digits and letters above the button (That blue shaded area right there). That is your Private Posting Key.
Go to Dtube over here: https://d.tube
Click the red circle thing with the person icon on it
Then input your Steemit username and paste your Private Posting Key.
That's how I got my Dtube account and is really excited to post videos soon.
Stay awesome!
