This is so epic and inspiring! ^^

I am still so afraid of the white paper and my unrealistic perfectionist expectations always freeze me up. Sometimes I still try to draw or paint something, anything, despite it all. It it's quite clear to me though that I need a WHOLE lot more practice and most probably some good theory as well. The two main areas of struggle that I have identified for myself are - proportions and shadows/lighting.. the more I think in terms of drawing the more I realize I have to start to LOOK at the world differently, i.e. look at mundane things differently, where the light hits them, where are the shadows, what colour gradients are which. I still have a long way to go, but I'm tired of not being able to draw, so .. there is only one thing to do - actually draw, draw, draw, and draw again, focusing more on the process itself and maybe even quantity, as opposed to judging myself for not reaching my preset perfectionistic expectations.
