There are interpretations of how things should be, how things used to be, and there are interpretations of how they actually are at present. Hence the title of my blog.
I wouldn't want to "live in an anarcho-socialist" society either, and I'm not arguing that you should. This is a blockchain platform, a microcosm, not a society in which you live.
This is why we need to respect the upvote autonomy of large stakeholders if we want to retain them.
Let people who buy a bunch of steem do whatever they want in relation to the reward pool? We've been there and done that. I have zero interest in retaining those who exploit the reward pool at the expense of everyone else, no matter how much steem they decide to buy or hold.
