Planning your trip in advance will make your journey a bit more effortless & you'll be able to soak in the culture & experience the 'magic' much easier. When camping in Iceland, it's best to get a map and not rely on the GPS. The National Geographic puts out a yearly map for Iceland and I highly recommend it. It's cheap. It's detailed. And it's easy to read.
