If you have been applying for crypto jobs such as community manager jobs, Ambassador jobs, content creating, etc, you will agree with me that most of these jobs involve applying through links and filling out some documents. Today, the Medium social platform is filled with tons of Ambassador jobs from new projects. Many crypto enthusiasts are busy applying for these jobs without considering the possible negative effects of the links and documents they are interacting with.
Sadly, most crypto investors do save passwords, and sometimes recovery seeds on their phones. Some saved their bank app details as well. Codes today are no longer written for the right reasons they were made. They are now written to install malicious software like keyloggers. We all heard about what happened to Axie Infinity. It was through a job offer and application process that the hacker got into the files of one of the former employees, and was able to carry out the hack from there.
Again, from experience, most of these job applications are mainly used by bad players to get people's details. I can remember receiving tons of spam promotional messages after applying for an ambassador job. There was also an email stating my Ethereum wallet address, my name, and other details and claiming that the address has been whitelisted for an NFT. I know there couldn't be any other means by which those details were gotten except through job applications.
So, ensure you trust the project you are giving out your details to in the name of a job application.
Be careful with opening documents on the device you use for crypto activities. If it is possible, have a separate device for your crypto activities.
Avoid saving financial details on your mobile device. Stay safe.
