I can't tell you how much I appreciate and love poetry. It's therapeutic and motivational.
There is something precious about the time that we have. Time that was loaned to us by whatever beautiful God, Goddess, or force you believe in. Even though time is limited one has plenty of it to transform their lives into something meaningful and worth living for.
I like to believe that I fall under a spiritual realm oppose to a religious one. With that said, I respect all religions and beliefs. It is remarkably beautiful when you think about other cultures and their ways of living, albeit, many of us discriminate and have ill wishes to those who may differ from us.
Do you really want to spend your time on this earth being bitter and hating those who differ from you just because hate seems to be stronger than love at times.
This is the precious thing about time and more importantly this poem.
David Harris, beautifully wrote this poem and every time I read it I feel like I have deciphered a new code to his poem.
We have all encountered some rough times in the time we have been able to live.
Whether it be career related, family, or love... Time allows us to change and with that change comes growth.
Or maybe it has to do with your chosen lifestyle, either way it goes, time grants you the wish to start anew.
We all deserve to be happy. Happy in life, work, and love.
Thought process is key here, in my personal opinion. Life can definitely be difficult at times but every morning is a chance to start new and live life at your own accord. Love, a problem for a great many of us but we must remember that with every false love comes the moment of growth and wisdom.
My friend always told me that a relationship lost is just to mold you to learn to truly love yourself and your partner as well as appreciating the time and value of a good woman or man.
Time is all we have that truly has any meaning to it. You have been granted time so accommodate it to benefit you and your health.
I hope you all enjoy this poem and the meaning behind it.
Starting Over by David Harris
Within every life there comes a time
when you need to take a break,
to start something new.
A point at when your life seems stale
and starting over is the only thing to do.
Not everyone wants to do it,
in fact most refuse to try.
They idle away each day,
not realising they need to do something new.
The world passes by them
as they stand at the garden gate
and before they know it
starting over for them is too late.
Therefore, if you need to get out of a rut
before it is too late,
start looking for something new
to enhance your life with beauty,
which you have forgotten what it was like.
Starting over can make you a new person,
sometimes even better than before.
