El refugio es esta tierra
       con sus incandescencias pasajeras
       los follajes siempre creciendo a nuestras espaldas
       las noches y las albas en regreso
       las presencias que son pérdidas
       y recuerdos y espiraciones

El refugio es este indefinido límite
       y la posibilidad de habitar en él
       y querer nombrarlo
               y no tenerlo

Refuge is this land
         with its passing incandescences
         the foliage always growing behind us
         nights and dawns in return
         the presences that are losses
         and memories and exhalations

The refuge is this undefined limit
         and the possibility of inhabiting it
                and wanting to name it
                    and not to have it
