Today I received a rather unexpected gift at work: a World Cup sticker album along with a box of stickers to start filling it. I honestly didn't see it coming, but I was thrilled. Since I had a few quiet moments during my workday, I took the opportunity to sit down and open the sticker packs and start organizing everything by country.
It began as a way to kill time and ended up becoming quite entertaining. Little by little, more people joined in, some to look, others to comment, and others simply out of curiosity. Suddenly, there were several of us looking through stickers, comparing duplicates, and chatting like we were ten years old again.
Definitely, no matter how old you are, opening a sticker pack still has that little bit of excitement where you hope to find something good. It was nice to be distracted by something so simple.
Hoy recibí un regalo bastante inesperado en el trabajo, un álbum del Mundial de fútbol junto con una caja de figuritas para comenzar a llenarlo. La verdad es que no lo veía venir, pero me hizo mucha ilusión. Como tuve algunos momentos tranquilos durante mi jornada, aproveché para sentarme a abrir sobres y empezar a organizar todo por países.
Comenzó como una actividad para matar el tiempo y terminó convirtiéndose en algo bastante entretenido. Poco a poco se fueron acercando más personas, algunos a mirar, otros a comentar y otros simplemente por curiosidad. De repente ya éramos varios revisando figuritas, comparando repetidas y conversando como si tuviéramos diez años otra vez.
Definitivamente no importa la edad que tengas, abrir un sobre sigue teniendo ese pequeño momento de emoción donde esperas encontrar algo bueno. Fue agradable distraerse con algo tan sencillo.
