Not having a car is basically one way to reduce your lifespan and endure discomfort everyday as a 9 to 5er. I could have gotten one myself sometimes back, but it didn't work out well. I think one thing is that the world generally lacks empathy and a lot of people don't consider the inconvenience of others.
