Hehe what a conversation you had. I think as a young man you just tend to attract people especially if they think you're beginning to look like you have some prospects. Funny thing is that it's not even a *woman thing", it's how life is generally. The greener grasses will always get more attention, and even if as humans we need to understand and do better, we mostly don't.
It's the same in the job market as well, everyone wants experience and no one wants to train newbies, it's just said, except you get going, no one wants you.
