You're right. Controversial views actually puts people in the limelight. Some people intentionally just wants to be talked about whether it's for food or bad. Somehow they feel it's for the sake of relevance and they don't just care how it comes.
I don't really listen to famous people anymore, especially politicians. These guys lies a lot, and their personality in the media is different from their personalities at their homes.
