It's the end of the splinterlands' seasons and I must say, I've seen a lot of posts that signaled that more people earned less reward chest this season than they did last season. However, I'm not sure the excitement would be the same and this is because of the release of riftwatchers. Actually, the excitement of chaos legion cards seems to have died down a little even though we still have over 10 million packs to sell.
But now, we have the sale of riftwatchers on. I never thought of buying into riftwatchers for once and even if I had the money, I would be buying chaos legion packs, another reason is that it seems that you'll need a lot of vouchers to participate in the purchase, and at the moment, I've been selling some of these vouchers to buy hive.
The reason is that hive is cheap at the moment, if we see another ATH of $3 soon enough, I'll reinvest back some of this money to buy more splinterlands assets. So this means that I have plans to invest on splinterlands in the long run, however, I don't know if the Market will boom together, but I'm hoping hive might boom first for me to take advantage to buy more splinterlands assets.
However, till then, it's been another exciting season, one in which I got the airdrop conqueror Jacek which was $29 when I got it, (might have dipped in price now, can't tell). It's the first time I'm owning a legendary summoner and its scattershot ability and +2 speed are something to take note of.
Another exciting highlight of the season was getting a CL pack as my daily quest reward two days ago, this is because it's been close to three months since I've gotten a pack as my daily quest reward so it was exciting to actually get one. As I said, the buzz around riftwatchers has taken the shine off the excitement towards the end of the season and I'm hoping it wouldn't cause a dent in the value chaos legion cards.
Without further ado, I got 9 loot this season, quite different from the 12 I got last season despite spending more time playing this season. Although my win rate last season was better than this season, I guess this boils down to players getting better with their tactics once in a while and it takes some time to get a hang of these tactics.
So Anything Epic?
However, my season's rewards last season were below par. But this time, it was better, I got a bunch of potions and earned a collection of 1.057 SPS, then I got an Ever-hungry skull, I had four, then I added this up to increase the level to two. I got a Djinn Chwala to,
I'd forgotten that I needed only 4 units to increase it to level two, but I added all five anyways, it's now at level two, the attack has changed from 2 to 3, and this is very good, I like this because it'll give -3 thorn ability to any melee monster that attacks it. I upgraded my Uraeus to level 2. Since it is an epic card and only needed for units, the aim is to get it to level three or level 4 in the future.
Overall I think this Season's reward was better, getting a chwala was good for me, at least, I finally upgraded my card to level two. My venari knifer is another card I actually upgraded, I know this card is a common card that's ridiculously cheap, but it's a potent card and you can see that at level 3, it isn't even up to a dollar.
I got a lot of it from my Chaos legion cards and rewards from ranked battles. It's got a speed of +5 and a Melee attack of +3, with a thorn ability. This is tasty, although if this was a death card it would probably do better, there are so many earth cards that seem to carry more brute, hence it's often underrated because the demand for it is quite low, however, it was at level 2, and I've managed to upgrade it to level 3.
Next up is having the funds to upgrade my summoners to level 3, but I have a feeling that this might take a long time. So here you have it, the pictures of the upgraded cards. Although I didn't get to open any pack today. I have about 23 packs and this is because I didn't have any potions, however, I'm itching to open some, so maybe next season. As per the other rewards, getting more SPS instead of potions and merits is what I prefer.
50% of my last Season's rewards were all merits and it's crazy. Although I didn't get a pack in the rewards I did get a pack in the quest two days ago. It's funny to know that 4 to 5 seasons ago I was raking in 40 loots and now the system is all messed up.
Although some players have advised me to play in silver III modern rather than the wild format. But sometimes, I cannot find myself not playing without my cards. A furious chicken for example might be the difference in determining if I'd win a game or not, and not having it in the modern format seem to suck. So, I might just stick to playing in wild.
I wish I have up to $1000 to throw in. But then, this isn't the case. People are ridiculously hooked on splinterlands assets and this makes the moon inevitable. I guess, I have no choice but you slowly build.
