Considering Altcoin Uncertainty In The Present Market Condition
A lot of people have one-sided plans, and this includes only positive outcomes and narratives. One problem is that the universe is not as sentimental as we are and there are a billion things that could ruin even the most perfectly executed plans and strategies. The bull market is on the horizon, and we're not going to have only sunshine and rainbows. There's going to be a lot of uncertainty, panic buying, selling too early, selling too late, and even greed.
These are elements of the market that nobody is immune to. Some people listened to the so-called crypto professionals and ended up messing up their plans, and inasmuch as the market is concerned, a new set of people will still play out this script. The market might teach you the necessary lessons you need to learn, but this doesn't guarantee that you won't make the same mistakes you made the last time.
I know you might be thinking "Oh it can't be me, it can never be me" but most people who think it can never be them are actually overestimating their abilities. One thing I've come to learn is that market overconfidence is a thing, and one way to take care of this is to always know at the back of your mind that what you fear can actually happen to you. This fear eventually prepares you.
Allowing overconfidence to be your motivation is one of the things you shouldn't do because no one knows all the narratives that are possible with the market. The bull market will always have people who will mess up. It's a normal thing. Every Market cycle will have failures and victors including those who only managed to scrap little gains. As much as we're all hopeful and learning, anyone can fail and why they fail is not always going to be rocket science: the market simply happened.
For example, a lot of people will buy BTC at 150k, some will buy at 200k and this set of people will always be present to be burned at the peak of the market. The peak of the market will be tricky because of the influence of the ETF. This means that no one can correctly predict when the peak of the market will be. This is because there are not so many parties involved. We no longer have a few billionaires influencing where the market will sway, it's complicated at the moment and the only advice I'll give is to focus on your projects, watch how BTC might influence its growth and stick to the small plans you have.
There's no shame in having small plans. If you do not own any BTC I'll suggest you keep your dreams minimal because it's possible that BTC might be the only coin to do a X20 this time. A lot of altcoins might not do too well, it's just a possibility and not really a prediction. However, if you own any BTC then you might just begin to party because there's a huge possibility that BTC might hit its ATH before the halving in April. The whole point is to hope.
There are so many narratives we cannot control. If you're not driving the market with any top dollar, have it in mind that anything is possible. Ask yourself questions like "What if my coin didn't hit its previous ATH" "What price point is my target for profit taking". What are my reinvestment plans? What if my plans didn't work, do I have a sub-plan or a plan B to depend on? All these are questions you should ask.
Dreaming too big without establishing an equilibrium point can be dangerous. It's looking like it might not be a market many altcoins might perform at the level BTC is doing not to talk of even superseding it. Although it might just be early days, and if your altcoin ends up not hitting its previous ATH, do you lose composure and completely give up? The market might not be completely friendly and this is why I think everyone should start preparing for narratives that might not even be in their original plans.
