when we have a low esteem, we try to show an idealized image of ourselves to others, hiding everything we consider defects or deviations, we spend our lives imitating others or waiting for approval, until we lose our own identity, and we begin aser who we really are.
The first step to recover identity and increase esteem is to accept ourselves as we are, to reconnect and reconcile with ourselves.
accepting ourselves implies looking at ourselves as if in a mirror, in order to recognize and accept what we see reflected in it, with its qualities and limitations means to look at us with loving eyes with tranquility and confidence "that's what we are and nothing else, without being judgmental, if we qualify"
