Not too long ago, I had the opportunity to buy a very nice 2010 Volkswagen CC for a very good price. The problem was that the vehicle was not running.
I knew that the engine was going to need extensive repairs, but I didn’t think that it was going to need that much work… After further inspection, my technician found that it was better or easier to replace the entire engine assembly and related parts. Luckily for me, he was able to get me a replacement block, cylinder head, timing tensioner, water pump, etc. After few weeks, several thousand dollars, and one or two setbacks, we received most of the parts.
I was so pleased that I was going to be able to drive the car very soon. I should’ve know better, just when everything was going well, my tech. informed me that it was not advisable to reinstall the original turbo and turbo lines due to the condition of them. At that point, I considered to install a second hand turbo to save some money. I am so happy I opted to install a new factory turbo, the car had so many new parts it didn't deserve a used one.
Finally, after another couple of days now I am able to drive the CC, and despite the fact that it’s an older vehicle, it drives very smoothly that I am considering keeping it.
Thank you for reading & watching my post.
