Bad news from Mars

NASA's Insight probe is specialized in chasing earthquakes and studying the interior of the Red Planet, but the Red Planet, in addition to being red, is also the dusty planet and the Insight panels that are about two meters and twenty centimeters wide and that are the that power the probe, are becoming covered in dust. The images seem impressive to me, the amount of dust on Mars is a lot, look at the amount of dust on the panels that should be shiny, silver in color and completely full of dust.

Because of this, the probe is gradually losing power and is expected to end scientific operations at the end of this summer. By December, the InSight team hopes that the lander will have completely stopped working and thus conclude a mission that will So far it has detected 1,300 earthquakes, the most recent one of magnitude 5 that occurred on May 4. In addition, InSight serves to locate those regions that are more prone to earthquakes, a fact that will be very interesting for future Martian bases or Martian colonies that they want to install.

Another probe with problems is the Chinese rover, Zhurong because it turns out that this rover spent the day before last Wednesday in hibernation mode during what is going to be the Martian winter, the idea is to be able to withstand the extremely cold and dusty weather also caused by a dust storm that has been detected in the area where you are working.

The Chinese rover is expected to resume its work in December, after the beginning of the Martian spring arrives and let's hope it doesn't happen to it like it did to poor opportunity that ended up buried in a dust storm.
