Hey everyone!
In this video I want to talk with you all about why it doesn't help to worry! Like, at all! :)
I've been a worrier my entire life. Well, until a few years ago. When I was a little kid I would worry about my mom when she left to run some errands, that something horrible might happen to her. When I would get in relationships I'd worry my partner would leave me and I'd be easily replaced. These are just a couple examples of some of the things I've worried about in my life that are completely out of my CONTROL!
And that's a key point guys. There are some things in our lives we simply cannot control, and we have to learn to be ok with that. If something horrible were to happen to a loved one while they were going about their life, it's completely out of my control. I can wish them safe travels and to drive safely, but sometimes things happen. There's no point in taking on anxiety for something that you simply have no control over. The same goes for relationships. Stop worrying about what might happen, and focus on the present and enjoy what you have right now. Yeah, the relationship might end, but there's a lot better chance it will happen sooner than later if you're sitting there acting all emotional instead of being pleasant company to your partner.
In the movie 'Bridge of Spies', Tom Hanks character asks the suspected Russian spy multiple times if he was worried, and the spy always responded with, "Would it help?" This always really resonated with me and it honestly changed my life because a lot the time when I start to worry about something now, I think to myself, "Would it help?" And then I let it go and relax.
This is such a powerful mindset guys and I hope you can learn to apply it to your worries as well (if you have any!). Really happy to be sharing this viewpoint with you all and hope you can get some value from it.
Hope you all have a lovely evening,
Jordan
