Why I don't think THANOS is EVIL! - Avengers 3 discussion *SPOILERS* - DTUBE DAILY #32

Hey everyone!

In today's video I want to discuss if Thanos is necessarily evil?! I'm not so sure he is.... SPOILERS AHEAD

So I finally saw Avengers 3 the other night with my brother and niece! I really enjoyed it! Minus the people talking loudly next to me the whole movie... 😠. Anywhoozle, I really enjoyed Thanos' character, and all of his 'children' as well. They just might be the best 'villains' to date.

So here's the real question: Is Thanos evil for wanting to eradicate 50% of the Universe population?

Thanos grew up on Titan, which was grossly overpopulated, and he saw a lot of people he cared for suffering as a result. Earth could very well get to a point where we see people suffering every day because there aren't enough resources to go around. So in Thanos reality, he sees cutting the population down as a real solution to everyone's anguish.

Of course from a moral stand point this is not a real option. It could never be an option in real life. But from a fictional point of view, I can see why someone would see this as an option. I think Thanos is misguided and needs proper council with the power that he's now wielding. Of course there are better solutions. My roommate brought up why he couldn't have just made more galaxies and solar systems with plants that support life and teleport people to this new space? I honestly don't even know if he's capable of doing that with all the crystals in his possession.

What do you guys think of this over at @dtube? :D
