How to get your first FILM JOB! Starting a new BUSINESS! - DTUBE DAILY #28
Hey everyone!
In this video I want to talk to you about how to get your first film job!
I've got two super simple, but super important tip for you guys when it comes to get your first job when you're starting a new business.
- Tell everyone what you're trying to do! Family, friends, neighbors, grocery story clerk. Everyone! Word of mouth is so, so huge.
- Create a social media accounts and a website! This makes you seem more professional and people will feel like you have a real service to provide! Social media is also another amazing way to reach people and let them know that you are now open for business!
A third tip I would have also liked to mention in the video is to create business cards. This screams professionalism to people and really, really makes them feel like you have a legitimate business going and they can rely on you for a professional service. Always carry some on you, and hand them to people whenever you talk to them about what you're trying to do! You're a professional baby!
Guys, I'm actually just running out the door to my first film job! My brother has been doing amazing networking down here in Jacksonville through school, and now he's asked me to help him film a promotional video for this local band! So we're headed out to a venue and shooting all night! I also have two more jobs lined up! One for two days later this week helping with audio on a shoot, and then in June I'm helping at a wedding! So, so stoked about these jobs coming together!
I absolutely love that I can pursue my passion in film and also do my own create work and post it here on
Ok all, hope you have a great day!
Talk to you soon,
Jordan
