Hey everyone!

In today's video I want to talk about the importance of holding onto you goals.

When I was younger I was really good at making executive decisions for myself and sticking to them in order to achieve something I wanted. In other words, to achieve my goals. As years have gone by I've slowly slackened up on these decisions, to the point where my self control isn't that great anymore.

As of lately, my eating habits haven't been very healthy. I've been consuming way to much junk food, and it's really starting to bum me out. I have been doing better the last couple weeks, but I want to be that person I used to be. If I decide I'm not going to eat chips anymore, then I'm not going to do it! I. Don't. Do that! That's the thought process I want to have go through my head when I think about it: I don't do that! And I want to stick to it. I know I can.

I'm realizing how important it is for me to stick to my goals. When I fail, which I've done plenty of as an adult, I don't feel good about myself. I'm not becoming the person I want to be. But what I've learned through these failures is that if I ever want a chance at achieving my dreams, I need to discipline myself and I need to stick to it.

A couple big things I want to implement into my disciplinary thought process are:

  1. I still want to have fun! Every day.
  2. I need to be ok with imperfection. I'll make mistakes, and that's ok.

I feel really great about these thoughts and I'm excited to start implementing them into my daily life. It's hardest at first, but once there's some momentum built up, it gets easier and easier. I will slip up and make mistakes, and do things I'm trying to avoid doing, but I'm going to forgive myself when that happens, and I'm going to do my best to continue exhibiting the behaviors that best help me reach my goals.

Thank you dtube@dtube for helping me implement a new routine into my life that makes me feel good about myself. This Daily DTube series has really, really helped me in a lot of ways. Thank you.

And thank you all for watching and commenting below your thoughts about this topic. Anything I say resonate with you? Have any tips for me? I'd love to hear them!

Hope you all have a great day everyone.

Take care,
Jordan
