O.K....Disclaimer, I'm not saying this is the perfect bible that I'm holding in my hands right now...But there is a story to it and I hope you share in my excitement LOL
For years, my go to bible has been a super cheap Thomas Nelson KJV reference bible. I love it! I know it like the back of my hand and can quickly turn to any book of the bible and know exactly where it is...Mostly because of how much I've used it and have thumbed through it.
But all good things...Come to an end. And well, the book of Genesis literally falls out of the front of my bible. It's had a good run for almost 15 years now so for the past few years I've been 'hunting' for the perfect replacement.
I've looked at so many bibles, trying to find the perfect look and feel for it to replace my beloved Thomas Nelson KJV....But everything has come up short.
The print is too small...The weight is too heavy...The margins are too small...It's been quite the challenge.
Until I found this...
This is the Platinum Edition Remnant Study Bible by Remnant Publications!
I spent the better part of half a year, watching YouTube videos about it, reading reviews of it and finally decided to take the plunge and purchase it last month!
It just arrived at my house today :)
It comes with all the bells and whistles, including a genuine leather cover and for the first time in my life...I have thumb indexes!!!!
The book introductions are absolutely remarkable and I love the timelines for each book...So helpful for effective bible study in my opinion..
But here's the money shot!!!
This is why I decided to purchase this bible because of this feature that I didn't even know existed in ANY study bible around...
We all know about the word of Christ in red. It's a feature in most bibles these days...But in the old testament, in this bible, the words of God / Christ are in blue!!!
I truly believe this is going to add so much to my bible studies and this was the deal maker for me.
So here I go....
I'm retiring my good ol' trusty Thomas Nelson, for a brand new Remnant Study bible...
I pray that this one gives me as many years as my old bible did!!!
