Growing up in British Columbia I pretty much always left my windows open year round. I know, so bad... it would make my dad so mad. "Why are you heating up the outside?!" He had a point, obviously. This also drives my husband a bit crazy as well when I want the window open a crack when it's -25 out. But there's just something so sweet & crisp about that fresh cold air flowing in through a window. And I'd like to point out that I hardly ever got sick growing up. Does that have something to do with it? Perhaps! Who knows!
My toddler has had this low grade fever for about 5 days now. It comes & goes everyday, but yesterday it decided to stick around so... I may have gotten 4 hours or so of sleep last night. But we don't need to talk about that.
We've had this crazy warm spell this last little bit & it keeps making me think spring is closer than it seems. Especially with all the fevers we dealt with this winter, I'm sooo ready for spring this year! I'm ready to start getting outside more with my kiddos & ready to move more. Winter is a long time of a lot of stillness, quiet & of course cold! Sure we do get sunshine here quite a bit, but it's gone by 5:30. I love the days filled with play in the backyard, playgrounds, outdoor pools, walks, sun tans & fresh fruit. But before I get to my favorite season, we must go through Spring!
I love the spring for it's freshness & sense of hope that it brings. It get's this mama in THE BEST cleaning mood. I typically like cleaning but for some reason, the winter can get a bit tough cleaning wise & I tend to get into a rut. I think a big reason why I love spring is finally being able to open the doors & windows throughout the day to get the fresh air permeating through our home.
But until then, I guess it's tylenol, netflix & tea for us.
Atleast until this fever goes down.
Happy Monday friends!
