Apologies in advance for the lack of content over the past 36 hours or so....
Family came into town and I was 'taxi service' over the past few days. No excuse though, I should have been better and showed up like I try to each and every day.
Jongo...What's wrong with you? It's o.k. to take a day or two off every now and again.
Kinda.
You see, I hold myself to a standard where I make a commitment to myself, to post...Every day! The issue for me, as an entrepreneur, is that I have no one to answer to. So if I don't 'do what I say', the only person that is letting me down is...Well, me!
Well, Jongo...How can you say that? I have so much going on and can only make a few comments a week....If I have the time!
That's what we call...The bare minimum!
I remember YEARS ago in affiliate marketing, people started handing out high fives, just for using their real names and pictures on their ad copy. Again, bare minimum.
The bare minimum is the 'of course you should be doing these tasks'. Here on Hive we hear this as the 'I make a comment or two when I can'...I don't think participation trophies should be handed out for...Doing the bare minimum!
Maybe this is why, so many give up, are never noticed, and disappear when their projects don't go to the moon. The bare minimum is something I used to talk about in training sessions as 'saying No to the status quo'.
Average.
Bare minimum.
What EVERYONE else is doing!
You see, this is a guarantee that you will never stick out from the crowd. This is why there is a lot of less than memorable content creators on the blockchain, because they have settled for 'average' and haven't pushed themselves.
I'm not saying you need to be creating Pulitzer Prize winning articles from day one, but people can see growth! They want to be around people that show up every day, and show the community...They aren't settling for the bare minimum!
So what can you do?
Push yourself!
If you are making 1 piece of content a week....Go for 2 or 3!
If you are writing 1-2 comments a day, try to write 20 a day!
If you show up and contribute to the blockchain once a week via comments or posts, make it multiple days a week....
Stop settling for the bare minimum and PUSH YOURSELF to be more and create more.
You may be pleasantly surprised at the kind of results you get when you do more, as you become more!
