Adventures in trucking :)
So I started the day at home...Bright and early aroudn 4:30 am exactly lol. Then I began my almost 2 hour commute to the yard where my truck is kept. And that was just the beginning...
Over the course of the day, I have driven almost 1000 kms and am now about 250 kms from the border of the Northwest Territoies. AKA, the Canadian Arctic lol
I'm in High Level, Alberta which is pretty much the last piece of civilation until you start hitting the tundra. I think. Honestly, I have no idea because I've never been this far north before. But it's absolutely covered in smoke right now because of these forest fires that have been plaguing our country since the spring.
I was able to snap a few pictures from the road, and sorry to disappoint, but Northern Canada in the summer doesn't have snow on it lol I also took a screen capture of my position in Alberta. I underlines 'Edmonton' which is where the truck yard is, and I'm now about half way to the capital of the Northwest Territories, Yellowknife.
I really hope I get to do that drive someday, it's one of the only parts of Canada I have yet to see.
Adventures in trucking though....Something tells me, I'll get to see a lot of this country over the next few years of this job ;)
