Let's Talk About That Dirty F Word

Get your mind out of the gutter!!!

This is a family show folks. Sorry to disappoint :)

But we are going to take a look at one of the ugliest words online. We cringe when we think about it. Try to stay as far away from it as we can. And even though we all know we need more of it, we tend to miss the mark.

The dirty F word is....

Focus!

I've spoken about this quite a bit over my years here on chain. Even so much as to state at the beginning of this year, my entire game plan was to focus more. Not only on my businesses but the tokens I chose to stack.

I wanted to highlight the importance of focusing our attention and efforts on a few things, rather than too many at once for many reasons. But honestly, I write these posts to remind myself, to scale back lol

Heck, that's what a lot of my blogging is, a way to keep myself on track. And when I lose focus, oh man, I know how bad it can become. Let me explain....

Over the years, I've been involved in many online projects. While they all end up being under one umbrella, they are each unique offerings that require a lot of time, energy and dedication for them to grow.

And guess what happens?

While I'm spending time building project A, project B grabs my attention! So I spend less time on project A and then divert it to project B.

*Well guess what happens then? *

I get another idea that I want to work on and it becomes project C. Now I have 3 projects, all requiring time and attention, but I only have 1440 minutes in a day....So they end up all suffering.

Have you ever heard or seen this?

It's popular in the personal development and success industries for good reason. When we split our time and dedicate it to multiple activities, we never seem to gain traction. Or we can laser target our efforts...Until successful!

I think this holds a lot of truth right here on Hive too...Especially with all the different projects on layer 2. At the beginning of the year, I decided it was time for me to 'trim the fat' per se, and stop trying to accumulate every token known to mankind on Hive.

Instead, I said....$LEO and $HIVE would be my focus in 2023. In the process, I actually have been growing other tokens, but it's not my focus. So a byproduct of my 'focusing' actually grew accounts I never planned to....Crazy how that works.

So no matter what your niche is. Whichever layer 2 token you want to grow. Or business you are trying to develop and build....Focus that energy and attention on one or two....Don't spread yourself too thin because greatest, in my opinion, never starts with eggs in a bunch if different baskets!
