Insider Secrets Revealed On How To #ThriveOnHive

(Such a hilarious title to name this post right...Very 'markety' of me...A little bit of shock and awe to grab attention because there is no secrets on how to succeed here...Give me a few minutes and I'll explain...)

Tomorrow we're giving away the Harklaw Gold Foil Legendary card. We've been promoting the #ThriveOnHive challenge over the past few weeks now and wanted to reward members of the community for taking part in the challenge.

We'll announce the winner on our live show which you can always check out on Youtube and Vimm!

The challenge has been a lot of fun, and by no means is this over....

I'll still poke around and check for everyone that's using the tag (#thriveonhive) and reward them with random upvotes and some HSBI shares as well.

The entire purpose of the challenge was to get people pinto the habit of thinking long term on Hive.

From building their daily habits into rewarding activities that they see results and growth from! Engaging with amazing people on the blockchain and helping to bring much more of a human touch to the relationships being built on chain.

While I do plan to keep posting tips and tricks on my blog to help everyone I can with their journey here, I wanted to highlight a mindset that has helped me over the years here. We actually dove into it on a previous Crypto Maniacs podcast, where @taskmaster4450 and I discussed....

Being a big fish vs an active fish!

O.k....What the heck does that even mean?

So on Hive, for whatever reason...Accounts are categorized with titles named after....Fish (or aquatic animals because some people will tell me a whale isn't a fish...I get it!!!)

Plankton (Red Fish)
Minnow
Dolphin
Orca
Whale

These 'levels' are reached depending on the Hive power you have staked. Obviously, the higher the stake, the higher up the levels you go.

Whales are...Well, the 'big fish'!

And sure, we all dream of reaching those levels. I just think of all the people I could help with upvotes and delegate my Hive Power too, and it fires me up to keep growing my account. However some (not all) of these whales didn't jump on Hive and become super active by posting content and commenting on other's posts. For a few of them, this is an investment and they have the capital to grab a bunch of tokens and power them up.

Why?

Curation of course! They are earning some great returns from simply...Liking other people's stuff on top of all the amazing other possibilities here on Hive.

But what about the rest of us.....

The people that WANT to reach those high levels, but might not have the capital to do it quickly. That's where the #thriveonhive mindset has to come in!

And instead of trying to be a 'big fish', we know our situation and decide to become an active fish!

A real famous marketing type used to call this 'omni-present marketing' and the idea behind it is to just be...Everywhere! Be so active that people can't ignore you. And I'm not talking about spam and low value content / engagement. I'm talking about putting your axe to the grindstone and hustling so much that people recognize you for the effort you are putting in.

They see you in comments....

They see you posting your own content...

You are attending live streams and engaging with the presenters....

Discord is your home away from home...

You are just...Everywhere!

Being active on chain is literally, the secret to success here. Being a product of your product and putting in the effort! And what happens then?

You are potentially recognized by...Those big fish! And not just on Hive. On all the second layer tokens that have proof of brain, the whales in those communities are ALWAYS looking out for great content!

So as the #thriveonhive challenge continues, I encourage you to think like an active fish! Just keep swimming like Dory famously said, and in these waters the sharks are VERY rare, it's generally a pretty awesome place to grow...Plus, the water is perfect, so why not jump all in?
