The US has no desire to stop playing world police any time soon

In what has to be the biggest travesty this week (I'd say this month, but well you know we have a lot of major travesties here in the US lately), the covid19 relief was finally passed with American Citizens getting the middle finger.

Oh, you your job was shut down by me and not allowed to reopen through threats of fines for months and months now and you write me a check for $600 to help me get by?!

Is this a joke?

If you are self employed and run your own business in America you have gotten absolutely screwed.

This pandemic has crushed all the mom and pop businesses and forced everyone to work for a large corporation because at least here when they fire you, you can collect unemployment.

They bickered for months over getting American people $600, while they are dolling out hundreds of millions to foreign countries.

Supposedly the self employed and business owners are eligible to receive unemployment assistance during this time, but I have seen several people on the news claiming they haven't been able to get a dime.

Normally you aren't able to collect unemployment insurance if you are self employed, but there was a special provision that was supposed to be in effect during the pandemic.

Irregardless, they got people a $600 check and sent $1.3 billion to Egypt and $453 million to Ukraine.

What in the world?

Anyone have any idea what these huge amounts of money are for?

That's what's wrong with these bills. It was almost 6k pages and we only need a page to get done what really needed to get done, relief for the American people.
