Ocean Day - Hill On The Bay #358

I remember when I was a younger we used to go to the bay and stay out all night long doing goofy stuff running around the beach acting stupid. Well one time me and my friend met these two ladies and we asked if they wanted to come to the beach with us that we where going to make a fire pit and bring some beer. This was something we did often during warmer months and sometimes during the colder months so it wasn't anything new, just a night out on the beach sort of thing. They said sure, so we pick them up and drive back to the beach no one else was around just us four and we had plan on splitting up so we could try and get close to our dates.

We walked in opposite directions doing the romantic walk on the beach thing, talking and it was a really nice evening she laughed a lot so I thought okay cool things where going great right......right.. we slowly stop walking with our feet in the sand, I lean over as she leaned in and with a soft kiss I could smell the perfume she had on and what a great kiss. She smiled at me and we started to walk again but this time holding hands. It was an amazing night! My plan went off with out a hitch...well so I thought.

So we kept walking down the beach and another slow moment came, we lean in for the kiss but instead... I hear a gasp... I open my eyes and see her looking out into the water I turn to look at what she was staring but I don't see anything. As I was about to ask her what she was looking at, she said, do you see that, something is in the water. I cracked a smile thinking she was messing with me and said oh its the bayman monster he likes to take people and drag them into the bay ( god i wish i wouldn't of said that,me and my big mouth).

You know that look that woman give you when you say something stupid and they really want you to know it? Yes it was exactly that look. So I said okay hold on and I walk closer to the water...and I did see something strange kind of tall but can't make out what it was so I move closer to the water, splash... splash my feet hit the cold water and I stop to noticed this human figure just standing in the bay just watching us. My heart sunk to my cold feet as I backed up and walked back quickly to my date. I tell her something isn't right and she agreed as we walked faster and faster to the car. As we get to where the fire pit was at we noticed the fire was out...more freaked out we ran to the car faster.

When we got to the car my phone goes off and I see i had message after message from my friend so I open my message and hes typing in ALL CAPS. BRO WHERE YOU AT, SOMETHING IS FOLLOWING US! GET TO CAR NOW!!. I call him and as soon as he answers hes yelling get to the car now!! I said, bro I'm at the car, he cuts me off and yells START THE CAR START THE CAR, I jump in and start the car and we see them both coming out of the beach area to the car. They jump in and I floor it to get out of that area while hes saying GO GO GO....

So now that my heart was pounding 100 miles per hour....about as fast as I was driving, I said whats going one?!?! He explains that they saw a strange figure in the water.... (Surprised, me and my date at the same time said So did we, she kept on explaining it was a man in the water). My friend said no, it's not a man it was a strange shape that changed and looked like it tried to look like a man...his date was saying the same thing and she went on explaining how it changed shape from a human figure to a blob that started to move to them following them. When they ran away they said it made this god awful sound, that wasn't human but sounded like it was trying to talk to them.

At this point, I wasn't sure what to make about the story they told... you know about the whole blob thing... but we did see a human thing standing in the bay water so I wasn't quick to say any thing. I still don't know how that fire went out and I'm still not sure what was in the bay but after that day word spread around and people where telling me about some strange things that go on in that bay. Normally I would just laugh it off and chalk it off as another campfire story but now....now.... I think of that night, it started off so great but ended up as a nightmare. Anyone else have strange events like this happen?
