Hello steemit students, today I am going to be teaching you about energy stores. Hopefully you find this blog useful and learn something new!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Energy can never be used up. Alternatively, it is transferred between energy stores/objects that are different.

Once the energy is transferred to an object, the energy is withheld within one of the object's energy stores.
Types of energy store (there is 8 in total)
- Kinetic energy
- Thermal energy
- Elastic energy
- Gravitational energy
- Magnetic energy
- Chemical energy
- Nuclear energy
- Electrostatic energy
How can energy be transferred?
- Mechanically - by force doing work
- Electrically - doing work by moving charges
- Radiation - light and sound.
- Heating - E.g In a kettle - electrical energy is transferred to thermal energy store.
System change = Energy transferred
system = Single object (like the air in a piston) or a collection of objects (such as two vehicles crashing).
Energy can also be transferred:
- into/away from system.
- between separate objects within the system.
- all the types of energy stores.
Closed systems = Systems where neither matter/energy can enter of leave it.
Net change in total energy or closed system = ZERO always.
