Hello and good morning all. Today I'll share an older piece. Was searching through my phone for projects I haven't posted yet and I ran across this guy. Surprised I didn't post him...bonus!
So here I will share the beginning and the end with a few cuts in between.
It was December 2019 and I wanted to carve a different inventory piece for the holidays. What better than a Christmas gnome? It was either that or a bear with a Santa hat. I carve alot of bears so it was an easy decision..
Here he is chainsaw only, standing amongst the trees...
Details didn't take me long..
After burning and sanding..
Then I hit him with some shadowing with the airbrush...next up varnish
I use a water based deck and fence sealer than repels water/mold and protects against UV rays..
Once the varnish dried, I applied some color to finish up...
