Hello and good morning all, today I'd like to share an owl I carved quite a while ago from cypress that I picked up from a Florida trip.
I couldn't find any pictures of it chainsaw only, but do have some from before fine detailing.
Cypress is an excellent wood as it doesn't rot and has a very nice grain and color.
To finish it, I used a wood burner between all the feathering.
It took a bit longer than normal.
Here it is after varnish..darkened the wood perfectly. Was an easy sale.
