Hello and good morning all, today I'd like to share a Sasquatch that I carved over the summer for a good client.
Normally I carve lots of wildlife, bears mostly. So I had to leave my comfort zone for this one.
Customer wanted him to be leaning, like looking around a tree or corner. So I found the perfect log for the job. Here he is after a few cuts.
Found the form, he's starting to take shape. It happens quite fast using the chainsaw. That's why I love it.
Here I am posing with the big guy after the saw work and detailing was done. How about that shirt? Fitting..
Some burning with the torch, then sanding.
And here he is after paint.
My customer was ready to pick him up right away as he wanted to show him off.
Loaded him up on to my clients trailer the following day.
He couldn't wait to send me pictures. Another reason I love what I do, I create happiness. He was most definitely happy with the results.
