We met the Nauyaca waterfall
Hace poco fuimos a hacer turismo en la zona sur de Costa Rica. Específicamente visitamos una zona montañosa para encontrarnos con la maravillosa catarata llamada Nauyaca.
We recently went sightseeing in the southern part of Costa Rica. Specifically, we visit a mountainous area to meet the wonderful waterfall called Nauyaca.
Se trata de dos caídas de agua que se pueden apreciar, y la suma de ambas ofrecen una altura de 60 metros. Son una excelente opción para todos los que quieren hacer un poco de hiking y luego darse un baño con agua fría.
It is about two waterfalls that can be appreciated, and the sum of both offers a height of 60 meters. They are an excellent option for everyone who wants to do a bit of hiking and then take a bath with cold water.
Lo genial es que están muy céntricas, ya que todos los visitantes de zonas como Manuel Antonio, Dominical, Bahía Ballena o Pérez Zeledón pueden tomarse una mañana para hacer el recorrido caminando, y luego sorprenderse con el maravilloso monumento natural.
The great thing is that they are very central, since all visitors to areas such as Manuel Antonio, Dominical, Bahía Ballena or Pérez Zeledón can take a morning to do the walking tour, and then be surprised by the wonderful natural monument.
Es preciso destacar que lleva este nombre en referencia a una serpiente de las selvas subtropicales de Centroamérica. Es un animal extremadamente peligroso y cuyo aparato respiratorio tiene 4 fosas. De hecho, de ahí su nombre: Nahui, que significa cuatro y Yácatl, que se refiere a nariz, del idioma náhuatl, una lengua indígena.
It should be noted that it bears this name in reference to a snake from the subtropical jungles of Central America. It is an extremely dangerous animal whose respiratory system has 4 pits. In fact, hence its name: Nahui, which means four and Yácatl, which refers to nose, from the Nahuatl language, an indigenous language.
