Long before, we could only imagine crochet as doilies, table runner, curtains and any decorative items inside our home, colored in white or off white.
But today, we can crochet anything we can from cellphone cover, purse, hair bows, bonnet, swimwear and even earrings. Plus, there are numerous bright colored yarns to choose from.
Making crochet earrings is one of my favorite thing since it will only take few steps to finish a pair of it.
Now, I'm gonna share to you the steps how to make this so called crochet swirl earrings.
Things you need:
*mercerized cotton - 2 different colors
*1.75mm hook
*a mixture of white glue and water (6water:4glue)
*a pair of earring hook
*scissor
*round nose/flat nose pliers
Pattern:
Chain 25 (use the lighter color)
SC on the 3rd hole/chain up to the end
Chain 2 (DC)
Make 3 DC in every hole , cut and tie.
By using the darker color of mercerized cotton, SC from 1st up to the last hole, cut and tie it safely.
Make the other pair of crochet earrings
Spray the mixture on your crochet earrings or you can directly dip it on the mixture and squeeze the excess liquid from it.
After squeezing, try to stretch the edges until it swirls.
Dry your crochet earrings under the sun or you can simply leave it in an airy area.
Once dry, attach your earring hooks on your crochet using the flat/round nose pliers.
And voila, your do it yourself crochet swirl earring is ready!
