In 1901, the White Steam Car was introduced in Cleveland, Ohio, by White Sewing; which at the time also marketed bicycles, roller skates, phonographs, kerosene lamps, automatic lathes and screw machines. By 1906 the demand was so great for the steam car that White Motor Company was founded. Trucks were built under the White name until 1995. This particular White has a V 8 gas engine that was very rare for a truck of its size. Most trucks manufactured in 1962 were diesel powered. Top speed—60 MPH
