The Diamond T brand has often been referred to as the Cadillac of trucks and was responsible for many advances in truck design. These include the fin and tube radiator, the adoption of 7 bearing 6 cylinder truck engines, 4 wheel hydraulic brakes, fully enclosed deluxe cabs, and hydraulic shock absorbers as standard equipment for heavy duty trucks. Even after its purchase by White Motor Corporation in 1958, Diamond T continued as a leader in truck design. This particular Diamond T began its service in Phoenix, Arizona pulling dump trailers. In the early 1980's a collector purchased the truck and began an extensive restoration and modification that included swapping out the engine, upgrading the transmission and adding a sleeper cab. In 1990, this truck was purchased by Richard Guerrera and further modification was done. The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum acquired this truck in 2011.
