A role model/mentor is someone that makes you feel good about you. A role mentor/model can help you avoid problems, achieve your goals and succeed in life. Having mentors in our life is important as they influence what we do and turn out finally. They motivate us to endeavor to uncover our potentials and overcome our weakness. Role models are important as leaders because they set an example that others try to emulate/follow. Role model is someone we admire and aspire to be like, your role model could be a musician, dancer, president, celebrity or your parents. For example, my father is my role model because he has unusual determination, ambitious and hardworking in his career but also took time to help the less privileged. These are the traits I respect in Cristiano Ronaldo (Footballer) as one of the best football player in my generation has set a very good example with his hard work, dedication, family values, his professional enthusiasm and philanthropic work. He is know to be very humble and has a great mentality. A role model should have the strength and qualities you desire to achieve.
Well! Choosing a role model varies to person on how they come across their role mode.
Example, in your childhood, you were seeing a football match where Lionel Messi was in an incredible form smashing the opposition team out of boundaries. Thats it! That’s your moment. You get admired and amazed, then start admiring as your perfect role model and start to research and know more about him. And also you begin to watch him, trying to improve your skills and learn more from him because you might want to become a football player.
A Role model should possess any of these characteristics:
Uniqueness
Confidence and leadership
Respect and concern for other
Humility
Knowledgeable and show empathy
Consequently, we often get influenced by numerous personalities but done realize the danger posed by emulating them in their doings. When your choose a role model, you have just made a big decision in your life. You get so obsessed that when in a situation, you ask yourself “what would my role model have done if he/she were in the same situation” and act accordingly. A single mistake in that situation, you are doomed. There is a great chance of you becoming biased and prejudiced. You will commit great errors and lose focus on reality. Always appreciate people but don’t get too obsessed and if you must, don’t choose anyone who has a tendency to anti-social behavior.
Have you asked yourself, how can I choose my role model/mentor? Let’s talk about them.

If you are looking for role model/mentor in a particular field! Linkedln is a great place to start!
You can find mentors easily through the app/site. I found numerous personalities that have point me to the right direction. I have noticed that when most people try to find a mentor, they mostly focus on one thing...... Their bank account. They have the assumption that because a person makes a certain amount of money, they are by default, their role model. Most of them are trapped by their success and don’t have freedom, connection and love. Just a fat cheque. Money is important and will always be but it’s not everything. So, when trying to find a mentor, find someone with great personality, achievements and also makes great money living an enjoyable and comfortable life. Just because you see someone that is successful, has the life you want and shares your morals and values doesn’t necessarily mean they are a good role model.
Well! Choosing a role model varies to person on how they come across their role mode.

-what is that one thing you have always loved theist and would like to do all your life? It could Dancing, singing, football, cricket or entrepreneurship.
The most important is to get inspired by your role model and continue to work hard towards achieving your goal in the field. Who knows you’d become a role model for someone else in the future. In pursuit of your goals, you can rapidly accelerate learning by modeling those you admire.
Your goal should in finding a role model should be someone that inspires you, someone you love listening to, makes you laugh and gets you as a person. Choose someone with a great work ethic, whose morals match yours, someone who works his/her ass off to provide the best content, he/she should be kind and positive community leader and an inspiration for you to do better and be more confident.
Lastly, you as a person should strive to be a role model yourself. There is a saying “listen to everybody but do as you deem fit” change is the constant behavioral world of humans. I as a person have always wanted my life to be better and possibly live a lot more comfortable and I believe I can be a better person and to inspire others to do the same.
