It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, beautiful or ugly, no matter what race you came from you are are child of GOD. Even if you are a sinner if you come back to the right path He will still accept you. Our God is so merciful that even the "cruelest" and "evil deeds" can be forgiven. Being a child of God doesn't mean you're perfect. As a human it's normal to commit mistakes. It doesn't if you're mistakes are bigger than the others, what matters is the efforts you do in order to make up for it.
As a child of God we are given a task to love one another and spread the words of the LORD. One of the ways you can give love is by helping others. It's not important if your help is big or small, what matters is the willingness to help. The act of giving something without expecting something in return is the best way of promoting the works of our God. Sometimes He gives us task to help other person without knowing what we might get in return, it is a test in order prove your faith in Him.
Being a Child of God is not easy, doing the right thing isn't always as easy as we thought. Sometimes we end up sacrificing our own "wants" just to help other person. It's not everyday that we need to carry the cross of others, as a human we can only carry one cross at a time. But sometimes we need to let go of our cross and help someone lighten their cross. In helping others we might not get something in return, but what we could get is a spiritual satisfaction that no materials thing could give.
You are a child of God and nothing could change that.
