Your coordinate thesis is interesting but what if we live in a mutiverse each universe with a different configuration of matter? - it's possible according to string theory, but maybe I'm just stringing you along, my friend. This is probably why I don't have a highly developed eschatology, however, I usually, like you, have an over-active imagination except when it comes to life after life - that's another world where I'll no doubt end up but as Woody Allen remarked, I'm not afraid of death, I just don't want to be there when it happens :)
